DSF Webinars continue to be valued by our membership
Following the positive feedback on the webinars in 2022, where we covered a number of sustainability topics highlighted at the Annual Members meeting, this month - 26 July 2022 at 20h00 – 21h00 (UK time), we will tackle a different area. Melina Lamkowsky, of Wageningen University, is the lead author from a recent study: Learning from the frontrunners: Quantifying the potential to increase farm profit and reduce nitrogen surplus.
Melina will share with Members how the study explores the improvement potential if all dairy farms strive to do as well as the sector ‘frontrunners’? The authors analysed a sample of Dutch dairy farms to explore the link between profit and nitrogen management and found that through improving nitrogen management alone Dutch dairy farmers could on average increase annual gross profit by 34% and simultaneously reduce soil N surplus by 50%.
DSF Aggregating and Implementing Members, should contact the DSF Secretariat to register for their place.
The next webinar will be in September and will be advertised shortly.
