Over 80 delegates from more than 15 different countries assembled in Muak Lek, Saraburi, Thailand for a two day meeting focused on moving the Dairy Asia Program from development into implementation.
Delegates were a mix of cooperatives, Farmer organizations, Governments and academics who are all seeking the same goal, to improve the sustainability performance of the Asian dairy sector.
Jeremy Hill, President of the International Dairy Federation and Governor of the Dairy Sustainability Framework, spoke about the future opportunities for a sustainable Asian Dairy Sector and how organisations like the IDF and key Global Programs such as the Dairy Sustainability Framework allow local ownership and development while also benefiting from a collaborative and knowledge sharing approach to continuous sustainability improvement.
The Dairy Sustainability Framework has committed to support the Dairy Asia Program in the best way they can. Knowledge sharing as one of the key benefits of the Framework for DSF members was identified as an ideal starting point!
