The Dairy Sustainability Framework:
- Provides third parties (NGOs, retailers, etc.) with confidence, reliability and comparability in understanding sustainable innovation and progress within the dairy industry;
- Helps users to demonstrate that their solutions are based on a common framework, setting apart the creation of their differentiation based on unique needs and points of added value;
- Allows for focus on advancing sustainable innovation activity, instead of constantly adjusting and adapting to different ‘standards’ or requests;
- Offers the opportunity to leverage “actions” of peers at several levels (global, regional, company)

By entering and tracking initiatives along a continuous improvement spectrum, participants share a ‘common language’ that allows for:
- alignment of initiatives,
- connection between groups globally working on similar objectives and
- the ability to share experiences and to look for ways to accelerate progress.
