DSF Case Studies on reducing GHG Emissions available
A new case study on GHG mitigation is now published on the DSF website with more to follow shortly. This case study is from Arla Foods and it titled, Using big data to accelerate our cooperative owners’ journey towards carbon net zero. It explains how Arla introduced the Climate Check tool to help all cooperative owners across seven geographies where Arla has operations, to identify GHG emission sources on their farms. The case study highlights the five universal levers across their farming operations that account for approximately 75% of the difference between the individual carbon footprint scores of all Arla farms. To mitigate these emissions, advice is tailored to individual farms to improve efficiency, reduce emissions, environmental impact, and improve animal health and welfare.
Additional case studies from Hochwald Foods, Germany, Dairy Australia and Bord Bia Ireland will soon be published and available for DSF Members. Keep an eye out for them on the DSF Extranet!
