DSF’s thriving Communities of Interest
DSF’s thriving Communities of Interest
The DSF Communities of Interest (CI) groups in Animal Care and GHG Emissions are becoming well established and have met several times now. Members of the CI groups are benefitting from the opportunity to discuss the topics of importance to them in more detail and learn from each other. So far they have heard from both from external speakers as well as from fellow members, whose presentations have stimulated many questions and discussions. The model is to share and compare actions and collectively identify solutions to common challenges. Feedback received by the DSF indicates this is working well.
The DSF is delighted that the Soils Community of Interest will be starting on 27 July with a presentation from Professor David Chadwick from Bangor University, UK, where he works in Sustainable Land Use Systems in the School of Natural Sciences. Prof Chadwick will look at the various indicators of a healthy soil and discuss how, when soil is functioning well, it can contribute to climate resilience. Implementing and aggregating DSF Members who wish to join the Soils CI group should contact the DSF Secretariat for further details.
It’s not too late to join any of the Communities of Interest, simply email us for details of the next meetings.
