Update on the DSF Communities of Interest (CI)
Update on the DSF Communities of Interest (CI)
This month our GHG Emissions CI met and heard from members of the ‘community’ based at AHDB in the UK, who shared examples of collaboration initiatives between farmers, processors and retailers to reduce GHG emissions.
Next month, December 7th our Animal Care CI are discussing how staff motivation can be linked to improved cow welfare. DairyNZ will be providing their insights into New Zealand farmer attitudes and behaviours on dairy farms that are achieving high standards of animal care. Also in December (14th) the Soils CI meeting will be provided with an overview by Dairy Australia of Australian soil management programs and identifying aspects that could be transferred to different geographies.
DSF Implementing and Aggregating Members who don’t want to miss any of this dialogue, please contact the DSF Secretariat.
