Dairy at the UN intersessional Meetings
Dairy at the UN intersessional Meetings
The Dairy Sector were actively involved again in the United Nations intersessional meetings, speaking as representatives of the Business and Industry Group (BINGO) during the Koronivia Joint Work on Agriculture (KJWA). Due to the virtual nature of these meetings, we were also able to register some DSF members, so they could experience the meetings and how they operate.
In addition to the verbal interventions made during several meetings, the dairy sector also provided a written statement (on the UNFCCC website) addressing the question regarding future topics for consideration by the KJWA. The Dairy sector were also mentioned positively both verbally and in the submission presented by the BINGO. No major decisions were taken at this meeting as it is the Koronivia meeting at the forthcoming COP26 (November 2021) where key decisions will be made.
