Make sure you have this date in your diary by registering for your place now! The theme is Around the Dairy Sustainability World in 180 Minutes and we will be featuring DSF Members actions to improve sustainability performance under the economic, social and environmental pillars of sustainability. Three breakout sessions will follow brief introductions of each case study and will be introduced by our three sustainability “ambassadors” who are experienced dairy sector communications professionals.
-
The social pillar ambassador - Kendra Campbell (General Manager Marketing & Communications, Dairy Australia): Kendra has over 20 years’ experience in marketing, corporate communications and PR. At Dairy Australia she has been a driver of influencing community perceptions relating to health and nutrition of dairy, the industry commitment to the environment, and animal care.
-
The economic pillar ambassador - Richard Walton (Senior Advisor, Meiji Co. Ltd): At Meiji, Richard has overseen internal research activities, research collaborations, intellectual property, business development and sustainability efforts. Working closely with the Japan Dairy Association (J-Milk) and other industry organisations, he has led sector-wide efforts in sustainability, marketing, patent studies and dairy policy & economics.
-
The environmental pillar ambassador Zoë Campbell (CEO, National Dairy Council, Ireland): Zoë is a seasoned marketer and at the National Dairy Council has been instrumental in marketing and promoting the Irish dairy category and its grass-based production credentials. She brings to the dairy sector a unique level of commercial and marketing experience spanning the Brand, Consumer and Foodservice sectors.
The Ambassadors will share their expertise from a communications perspective, assisting the Membership in effectively sharing the great work that is being undertaken. The Breakout sessions planned for the meeting will then provide Members with the opportunity for deeper exploration into those member case studies being profiled.
In addition, Members will learn about:
- the latest DSF developments, including the DSF 2021 reporting outcomes from DSF’s Director Brian Lindsay,
- the progress of the Pathways To Dairy Net Zero climate initiative, especially as preparations take place by the dairy sector for the COP27 meeting in mid-November and beyond, from GDP’s Kevin Burkum.
- the DSF reaching its 10-year milestone. Hear from the DSF Governors on their strategic thinking for the next 10 years of the DSF.
Registration for this virtual even is now open, so please book your place if you haven’t already done so.
