DSF Virtual Annual Members Meeting – September 23rd, 11h00-15h15 (UK time)
The role of the DSF in a changing Sustainable Food System
A dynamic and interactive program has been developed to challenge us to think differently regarding the role of dairy and the DSF in a sustainable food system of the future. We are delighted to have two high-profile keynote speakers from outside the dairy sector who have agreed to both challenge and guide delegates in considering the sector’s role in providing nutritious foods in an increasingly sustainable and responsible way.
- Professor Tim Lang – Professor of Food Policy at City University London's Centre for Food Policy – Professor Lang will share with delegates his insights into sustainability and sustainable food systems and his thoughts on global food policy evolution. The session will challenge our diverse dairy sector to consider both implications and opportunities as an integral player in the sustainable food system of the future.
- Mr Jason Clay - Senior Vice President, Markets & Executive Director, Markets Institute, WWF - Mr Clay will conduct an interactive session – so be prepared! This part of the program will challenge DSF members to consider the impact of existing sustainability efforts and where future emphasis may need to be placed by the sector to achieve environmental needs and societal expectations as a responsible source of nutrition.
The DSF will also provide an update on the DSF indicator metric progress reporting for 2019.
This is an ideal opportunity to connect with dairy colleagues from across the globe seeking solutions to common sustainability challenges. We look forward to seeing our members there! Register here
