DSF Webinars in 2024

This month two of our Implementing Members explained how they had established improvement programs for their priority DSF Criteria. Linda Mulvihill, General Manager of Energy & Climate at Fonterra, outlined their manufacturing (processing) decarbonisation programme – focusing on scopes 1 & 2 GHG emissions. Hanne Bang Bligaard, Director, Agri-Sustainability, Arla Foods, spoke about the development and implementation of the Arla tool for calculating on farm GHG emissions and the Sustainability Incentive Model, developed in collaboration with their farmer owners. Implementing and Aggregating Members who were unable to attend the webinar can access the recording which is available in the DSF Members area of the website.

The next DSF webinar will take place on March 12 at 19h00 (UK time) - Towards sustainable food systems – understanding the nutrient contribution of dairy. Andrew Fletcher, Programme Leader Sustainable Food Systems at Fonterra and co-founder of the Sustainable Nutrition Initiative at the Riddet Institute will talk about the Initiative’s work and how we strike a balance between addressing climate change and feeding a growing world population. Some of you may have seen some of the exciting work being undertaken by Riddet team and will be aware this is one webinar not to miss!
