The Dairy Sector: Ready to Help Achieve Sustainable Development Goals
With the recent agreement and release of the Sustainable Development Goals and the forthcoming COP21 meetings in Paris, the global dairy sector, aligned through the Global Dairy Agenda for Action, felt it was important that dairy is recognized at the meetings (even though agriculture is not on the negotiation table) via a simple and common message: Dairy has an important role to play in delivering both the SDGs and the reduction of GHG emissions through delivery of sustainable outcomes that address the climatic economic and social aspects of food production on a continuous improvement basis.
As a result, members of the GDAA have collaborated to develop a simple two page flyer that can be used by the sector regardless of their level of influence in Paris (or beyond).
Please, if you are going to the COP21 meetings, your organization has a stand there or you are speaking with policy makers/negotiators, do make use of this flyer. By taking this approach, the dairy sector will provide a consistent message that demonstrates its awareness and action orientated approach to addressing both the SDGs and the GHG challenges
The flyer can be downloaded in both English and Spanish from https://dairysustainabilityframework.org/dsf-membership/resources/
